The project is framed within a dystopian scenario, where a person who cannot find a partner within a certain amount of time is sentenced to turn into an animal. The company in this scenario, however, offers a way for these people to keep their human intelligence afterwards. The project was heavily influenced by Yorgos Lanthimos’ film The Lobster and George Orwell’s novella Animal Farm. Through their recourse to the propagandistic discourse of the Cold War, my designs aimed to criticize the corporatization—and, by implication, the dehumanization—of the world and to show how the Orwellian expression “All animals are equal but some are more equal than others” holds true for our world.
