BC Cancer Agency approached our class with a project brief to redesign their way-finding system using a West Coast theme and to create symbols for indicating each department in the hospital. Their signage had issues with inconsistent and mismatched signs, making it difficult for visitors and patients to navigate. It was necessary to facilitate the visitors’ and patients’ pursuit of health by providing them with a simple and useful signage that would eventually unite the BC Cancer Hospital into an efficient space.
